That is why Sunday reflection is more than a simple review. It is a quiet time to look back and ask what God has been speaking to us through His Word over the course of the week.

Scripture urges us not to stop at merely hearing the Word. James 1:22 says, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (KJV). The purpose of meditation is not simply to know more, but to let the Word continue into our lives. Three Questions That Help You Reflect on the Week’s Word

• How did that Word expose or illuminate my thoughts and attitudes?
• How can I obey that Word in the coming week?

Meditation is not about holding on to a passing moment of inspiration. It is the process of letting God’s Word slowly sink into your life.
